The title of my thesis is: Changes in Pacing, Sound Use, Visual Complexity, and Narrative Complexity in U.S. Sitcoms 1950-2011. The project uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the evolution of formatting, stylistic, and narrative aspects of family-based sitcoms during the past six decades.
